£5 tickets – what they are
LIFT believes everyone should have the chance to experience the joy of arts and entertainment without financial worry.
That’s why we’re offering a limited number of £5 tickets for those who wouldn’t otherwise attend, to ensure our events are accessible to everyone, regardless of income. At LIFT, your presence matters more than your budget.
Removing financial barriers to theatre is something that has always been important to LIFT. In our 2022 festival 6.4% of tickets were sold at £5 and this year we want to be able to reach more people.
To do this, in December 2023, we launched our Big Give campaign which was solely aimed at raising money to provide 1000 £5 tickets to the audiences of our 2024 festival. With generous donations during our Big Give campaign, we managed to raise all of the money and those tickets have been added to our £5 ticket pot.
£5 tickets will remain advertised for as long as they are available.
